The UK lottery draw produced two more happy winners in February when Paul and Marie Kibler from Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands won £2.1 million.
The pair had a bad year during the twelve months before. Mr. Kibler fell from a ladder, fracturing his skull and was rendered unable to continue his work as a self-employed gardener. He has been subject to a difficult period of surgery and rehabilitation and was not sure when he would be able to work again. Winning the UK lottery draw has removed all the financial worry that produced.
Sadly Mrs. Kibler also lost her brother recently so the couple had really been through a rough patch and the change in their luck was very welcome.
The couple had been playing the lottery for 17 years when Paul went downstairs to check the lottery results. When he realised they had won, Marie didn’t believe him at first and checked the numbers too.
Like so many winners of the UK lottery draw, the couple had to wait until 9am before they could ring Camelot to confirm their win. Mrs. Kibler said, “They confirmed that we had won the jackpot. We couldn’t stop crying.”
They had a celebratory meal with Paul’s father, but he had to pay the bill on this occasion! The couple’s first decision was to book a cruise, which they had planned for a while anyway, and to take his father.
Despite his challenges, Paul Kibler still wants to get back to work although Marie will retire from her job as a medical secretary. Both want to buy new Mercedes cars and are planning to upgrade their home after paying off their mortgage. They will stay near their friends however.
Recently, the couple were reunited with the Camelot employee who took their call and confirmed their UK lottery draw win. The video of the call and their meeting is shown below.
